Some guy on the street signed me up, I told them I was only living in the city one more month and then was moving, they said no problem try it out. Sure, better than Planet Fitness for my last month living there. Didn't mention to cancel I'd have to pay another month and their annual fee. Hard to trust a company with zero transparency just pulling fast ones on unsuspecting people. Will make sure to not recommend to anyone.
You can also see a video of people shaking their butt over and over why you work out. The video says " every booty happy" with one of the people appearing to be twerking. Everyone hates this video and the loud music.
I see a strong relationship between bad reviews and people failing to read their contract before signing. Not once have I been surprised with a fee I was unaware of because well...I read the contract. I know it's a ton to ask but it's sort of part of being an adult.
The showers have needed repair since opening.
The handicap shower still has no soap in it. and water comes out the top of the hose.
The night staff here at Blink is awesome. Michael, Kirsa, and Quay always keep the gym clean. I've only ever gone as a guest but they always keep me engaged when I work out. I always go for an extra 2 reps when Michael is around. I'm seriously thinking of becoming a member.

I met with the "corporate man" about the music and shower conditions. I realized instantly that this is the type of person that thinks he knows everything and what you have to say just does not matter. Jason made sure that he stayed busy the whole time we were talking. I asked about somewhere to put our clothes while in the shower and some accommodations for the handicap bathroom. I might has well been talking to the man on the moon. He just continued to smirk and not pay attention to anything I said.
Update: 10/5/17
Blink claims to be the club for everyone. This could not be further from the truth. If you love music so loud that it completely overrides your headphones then this is the club for you. Nothing like 70-85 decibel music at 5:00 am. Over 90% of the club wears headphones. But the club for everyone says " sorry, it's club policy that me make you hate our club."
Final update: 5/20/17
I guess my review made them mad, because now the music is as loud as it can go at 5:00 am. You really should come watch the "everybody booty" video playing in the front of the gym as they have now added men in their underwear showing their abdominal muscles. Yesterday, there was a person that was a size 6 in size 1 shorts. (becoming more common daily) They have no dress code policy enforced here.
I wished I would have left before paying the $49 fee. Most of the people from 5:00 am have switched to Sweat fitness. This is NOT the gym for everybody.
They have finally put up a bar to hang your clothes on in the shower area. The handicap bathroom still does not have soap and has 1 small hook for your clothes. This is not a handicap friendly shower even though they do have handicap lockers. If you are in a wheelchair and want to use the shower you might want to look elsewhere.
Blink is pretty clean compared to other gyms I have gone too. It is my backup gym when I am at home and not at school. It has all the basics like free weights, couple machines, and some nice free space to warm up/cooldown.
I usually have no problems at this gym, staff is friendly almost all the time. However, I went with my buddy fresh off an Eagles win, and experienced some rude customer service. Keep in mind that the gym is almost empty, and the music was playing very low compared to the other times I have gone. I was deadlifting, there are no deadlifting platforms so the floor is hard and will create noise, and was warned about the noise I was making. I make adjustments to my eccentric phase for them. I'm deadlifting and am letting the weight fall at about knee height. The worker comes over and tells me that the weight is too heavy for me since I'm making "too much noise". This killed my workout vibes, PUMP KILLER. This worker also stared me and my buddy down during his last working set on the bench 10 min before closing time. Yes sir we are aware of your closing time at 7pm, I will make sure to accommodate for you the next time you are working.
Other complaints seem pretty stupid, too. I've had a good experience with Blink so far. Employees are friendly enough, equipment works OK, what else do you need? It's a no frills gym, expecting more than that is incredibly dumb. Get in, work out, go home. If you have time to observe what anyone else is wearing, etc. you're not using the gym for it's intended purpose. That said, this cute blond I see in there almost daily....call me.
